There are not enough competent people associated with the Tea Party to form a 'real' party and run candidates for office. There certainly isn't anybody who will run as a Tea Party candidate for the Senate, and there is absolutely nobody qualified to run for President. They have to tag along with the Republicans.

Besides a lack of qualifications and competence, it's a matter of working hard and having the guts to run for office. They seem only able to scream and look goofy. Tea party people do not work hard or run for office. It's a sham party with rich people and Fox News in control. The Tea party 'members' (aka kooks) are lazy and cowardly.
